Dr. Anthony Ricci, MD
Dr. Anthony Ricci is an allergist and immunologist dedicated to your wellness in our East Greenwich, R.I., location. This specialty clinic is focused solely on determining the causes and appropriate treatment for allergies and immune disorders.
Having earned his medical degree from the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University, Ricci has been practicing for more than 20 years. He specializes in treating disorders of the immune system, including food, insect and respiratory allergies as well as eczema, asthma, and immune deficiencies.
Allergy testing at the clinic can determine the triggers or allergens, that cause immune systems to overreact. Skin, blood, or challenge tests help diagnose the causes of chronic wheezing, rashes, and severe reactions to food and insect stings. Immunotherapy is a long-term treatment involving a series of injections that reduces your sensitivity to those allergy triggers. Patients are introduced to gradually increased doses of allergens to build immunities, easing the suffering from seasonal, indoor, or insect sting symptoms.
Ricci completed his residency in internal medicine at Miriam Hospital-Lifespan, a fellowship in allergy and immunology with Brown University, an internship at Mount Sinai Hospital before heading the Ocean State Allergy and Asthma Associates in East Greenwich.
